My route into technology was not linear. That is one of the most useful things about it.
Background
Experience that carries into the work.
I served eight years in the United States Army—first as a Medical Specialist with the 1st Armored Division, then in Early Warning Intelligence with the 101st Airborne Division. Both roles demanded preparation, accountability, clear communication, and sound decisions under pressure.
After the Army, I worked in shipping and receiving, logistics, sales, and coal mining. Those years reinforced a practical standard: understand the system, respect the procedure, notice what can go wrong, and take ownership of the result.
Since 2016, I have expanded my education through Web Technologies and Advertising Graphic Design. Today I apply that experience to websites, admin tools, database-backed platforms, publishing systems, technical support, and implementation work.

Career transition
Moving forward, not starting over.
After a career in physically demanding fields, I am applying my experience, discipline, and problem-solving ability to sustainable work in technology.
I bring more than technical syntax. I bring years of working around consequential systems, communicating with different kinds of people, learning unfamiliar processes, and staying responsible when conditions are difficult.
How I work
Modern tools, accountable judgment.
I built websites before generative AI was available. I now use AI to accelerate repetitive implementation, explore approaches, review code, document systems, and test ideas.
I still define the problem, direct the work, review the code, make security and database decisions, test the result, deploy it, and maintain it. The tool increases my range and speed; responsibility for the finished system remains mine.
